Remembering You

Months have passed, and how the shatters of Ondoy's path changed many of the demands laid on earlier. The endless lists of musts and shoulds, strict schedules to do the work over...but all those were washed away.

And so how do I go back to say Thank You and make you feel the depth of my gratitude for the presence and the blessings you shared to Kolisko Waldorf School and our community partners? Somehow just sending you a card or an email of thanks is no longer enough to do so.

But maybe this wonderful slide will touch your hearts deeply and there you will find what lies deeply in my own.

To all our Dear friends, family and all the friends and family of everyone!!!

A Blessed New Year to all of you.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for the time you have spent to help us receive blessings from Pareto Foundation. We did not get the 1st, but we were blessed with the 3rd place that we did not know existed. I think they were just so happy that Kolisko Waldorf School received so many support from all over the world that they decided to give us something too!! (News from Pareto Foundation)

We did not get the AUS$2,000, but we received AUS$200 out of sheer delight from the organizers. ;-) Its not much, but its a blessing worthy to be shared to the Kolisko children.

Thank you again for voting and inviting your friends and family to help- in actual vote or in sending a positive thought, they all helped us in our dream to find support for our school and the children that we continue to help.

Munting Ilawan Celebration

Friends and Family gathered in Manila Seedling Bank to witness the Kolisko Waldorf School Ensemble and Chorale (our little angels and some of their mommies/daddies, teachers and staff) share their laughter and soul. You would see that most of the parents and friends in the audience had their eyes closed...listening intently with their hearts the whispers of Angels found in the music that moved in and around us that night. We heard them of course... ;-)

Thank you for a heartfelt 2009. We continue to be grateful and appreciative of the many individuals who have shared their gifts of presence, skills, resources; gifts of laughter, care and kindness. These gifts have truly helped us in our journey. While some things manifested may be mere things from an observer; those who know the hearts of these generous beings, we know that the manifested allowed the flow of love to take place...from theirs hearts to ours.

May the pictures reflect back to each of you the love sown, and that in your appreciation you feel the Great Love of Christ spring from your own hearts and flow through you so it may reach the hearts of others too.

The Christmas Concert gathering will be held in Purification Orchid House, Manila Seedling Bank, Quezon Ave, Corner EDSA

Many thanks to Mrs. King, Donna, Van, Chiqui, Carol, Friends of Eric and Malu for sending these kids to watch "UP" The gifts you shared allowed us to invite 30 more kids and a number of Nanays to wathc "UP". You will be surprised to know that a number of these kids and their Nanays too entered the movie house for the first time in their lives...

Thank you too to SM North Edsa. The Manager where UP was showing (my goodness I forgot her name) was so touched to see so many children eagerly waiting for their turn to enter the movie house. While waiting for the show, an SM Staff came to us and gave us sandwiches and drinks!! It was an early Christmas surprise to all of us. Thank you SM Manager for your kindness!!! Bless you!!

A heart felt thank you to the family, teachers, staff and friends of our beloved Kolisko Waldorf School. Your all out help was evident!! You came early to give support: helping, chatting with us and entertaining others. Even if someone didn't come but gave your best to "move and overcome mountains" a big thank you to you too!!

And for the Ninongs and Ninangs who went all out your way to reach out to others so the needed support will come. ..many kids from the centers were there because of you....Thank you, Thank you...Thank you especially to -

CHEVRON for taking care of 30 children from PLAINVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in MANDALUYONG. Hands on Manila Volunteers were with them too.

RIA VINLUAN for celebrating her birthday via sending 60 children of KUYA FOUNDATION accompanied by their Kuyas/Ates

Joanne Aytona, Isabel Reynon and Family, Ogie Alcasid and Judy Ann Santos for sending 50 children from DAMAYAN CENTER from Malabon/Cavite. RGS sisters and staff were with them.

40 children from Sarnelli Center for Streetchildren of the Redemptorists, and 20 children from Brgy Kristong Hari community all made it to the show because of you dear friends!! And through your support, 10 RGS sisters and staff; 10 Hands On Manila Volunteers and less than 5-7 staff of Kuya Center, and 2 adults from Brgy Kristong Hari (25+ Adults) were also able to accompany their kids to the show. It was a magical feeling to laugh, cry, shout out of surprise and clap with great joy with everyone. So thank you for making this great adventure happen!!! Lets do it again!!

The Parents and Friends of the Kolisko Waldorf School, Inc Invite you to the Movie Block Screening of Disney/Pixar's "Up" on August 22, 2009, 4pm, Trinoma Cinema 5

We hope that 200 kids including a number of Sisters/Brothers and Nanays/Tatays (a dream if we can reach 250) from centers and orphanages will be able to join us to watch this movie.

As of August 10, 2009 we have 162 kids with sure tickets courtesy of our family, friends and anonymous donors. We are still looking for other ninongs/ninangs for 38 more kids!! Would you care to be one?

These kids are
1. Orphaned children from Damayan Center managed by the RGS sisters
2. Street children of Kuya Center managed by the La Salle Brothers
3. indigent children from a public school cared for by Hands On Manila volunteers
4. indigent children of Brgy Kristong Hari in E. Rodriguez. This is the brgy of Kolisko Waldorf School.

Come and help us make the joys of watching a movie be a reality for these kids. Be their Ninong/Ninang of the day!!

UP Block Screening Schedule Moved!!

Hi friends,

We got word from the production company that the opening day of UP the Disney Movie is moved to August 19, 2009. And so my dear friends - our original block screening schedule on August 15 (sat) also has to move.

New schedule is August 22, 2009 (Sat), 4pm, Trinoma Cinema 5.

TICKETS FOR CHILDREN

Last year we held 3 major fund raising projects that benefited so many children.

The children of the Kolisko School and the marginalized children and some youth from our partner communities.

They were Deaf children, children with learning disabilities, orphan children, youth from indigenous people's communities, and some scholars from the province.

This year, we start again with the same goal -- help the children through Kolisko Waldorf School, Inc and the partner communities that guide and support the children from marginalized sectors.
